In the afternoon we all went to the gym for a final Farewell Assembly.
Nathan was our spokesperson and gave a little speech to thank everyone for our wonderful experience and to tell them what had been the best bits of our week at Amaji. Well done Nathan-very brave and a brilliant speech!
Everyone had their photo taken together.......
and then we left through a cherry blossom tunnel!
Then it was PARTY TIME!!
We organised a good old English party with 'Pass the Parcel', 'Flap the Kipper' and other party games followed by cakes and juice for our party tea.
Everything had a thoroughly British theme including Mr Matsumoto's
and Mr Coates' outfits!!
We all had a brilliant time..............
....singing and dancing.....
.....eating and drinking.....
...but it was also very sad as it was our last activity together
 before we left Amaji.
Finally Grade 5 played 'Land of Hope and Glory' on their recorders as a farewell song and we all headed home for our last night with our homestay families.

  1. Oh I feel slightly sad that your time going to Japanese school and staying with your homestay families has come to an end. I reckon you have a lifetime of memories stored up though. Mr Matsumoto looks very fetching with his moustache on :) Now for a few days relax before heading home to sunny Newcastle! Lot's of love xxxxx

  3. Wow!!! You guys are having an awesome time! I'm just having a catch up as I've been in London for 3 days - I thought of you all as I went past the Japanese Embassy! I can't believe how much you've done in such a short space of time. Your traditional Japanese clothes are beautiful and it looks as though you're all having the time of your lives. Now for Tokyo?!?!? Be quick getting on that bullet train; you don't get long before the doors close and it whizzes away (Mrs Wigg and I were nearly left on the platform last time!)
Can't wait to see your next update. Keep smiling. Mrs Woodhall x
